Mozambique’s agriculture ministry has stopped allowing certain dog breeds into the country, aiming to address the issue of frequent dog attacks.

These incidents have caused serious injuries and even fatalities across Mozambique.

The ban covers 26 breeds, including pit bulls and Rottweilers, known for their aggressive behavior.

However, dogs used by security agencies and those assisting disabled individuals are exempt from the ban.

Owners of the banned breeds already in the country must register them with authorities within 60 days.

This measure aims to enhance public safety and reduce the number of dog-related incidents in Mozambique.
