Logan Paul is buying back NFTs from fans who lost money in his failed CryptoZoo game. The YouTube star had promised a cryptocurrency game in 2021, but it never happened, leaving fans who invested millions in tokens disappointed.
Now, Paul is offering a partial refund, costing him $2.3 million.
However, fans won’t recover their full investment, as the value of the cryptocurrency has dropped by 37%. Paul insists the buy-back is not an investment but a way to compensate those who intended to play CryptoZoo.
Fans have until February 8, 2024, to accept the refund, with the condition not to make legal claims against Paul and others involved.
The situation underscores the risks in the unregulated crypto market, prompting discussions about the need for more regulations.
