Kim Kardashian recently talked about her son’s rare skin condition in a new interview. In the chat with Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney on the SHE MD podcast, Kardashian, 43, shared that her son, whom she has with ex-husband Kanye West, has a mild form of vitiligo. This condition causes skin to lose its color in patches.
Kardashian explained that she inherited psoriasis from her mother, Kris Jenner, and passed a similar condition on to her son.
Kardashian also mentioned that her children, including daughters North and Chicago, have some eczema, but she didn’t go into detail about it.
She expressed that learning more about these conditions and sharing her experience has been beneficial.
Psoriasis, which Kardashian has, is a long-term condition that makes skin cells grow too quickly, causing irritation. Vitiligo causes skin to lose its pigment.
Kardashian discovered her psoriasis in her 30s, initially mistaking it for a regular rash. She has faced challenges managing the condition, which has no known cure.
