The actor was abroad for a film festival when the reported symptoms began.
Kevin Spacey, who acted in House of Cards, went to a hospital in Uzbekistan. He was at a museum when his left arm felt strange. He got medical tests, including an MRI. He was in Uzbekistan for a film festival. After doctors said he was okay, he went on stage at the festival.
He told the audience about what happened and told them he’s okay now. But he also said it made him realize how easily things can change in life for anyone.
“My left arm went completely numb for about eight seconds out of nowhere,” he said. “I brushed it off, but I quickly told the people I was with, and we rushed to the medical center.”
He continued, “Everything turned out to be completely normal, and I’m grateful it’s not anything more serious.”
The day before, he reportedly claimed to be preparing for his big “comeback” during an event in the capital of Tashkent, stating that his “best roles were ahead of him.” The actor lost a number of prominent roles during his sexual assault trial, where he was found not guilty on all nine counts.
Parade has reached out to the Oscar winner’s representatives but did not hear back by the time of publishing.
