Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has expressed anger and sadness after reports revealed members of her Brothers of Italy (FdI) party’s youth wing engaged in fascist salutes and used racist and antisemitic language.
She emphasized that such behavior has no place in her party, denouncing any nostalgia for past totalitarian regimes.
Meloni stated that those unable to align with the party’s values cannot remain within its ranks.
