Allie Cook, from Louisiana, has shown incredible strength by transforming her life through fitness—even after undergoing 13 surgeries and facing major health challenges.

According to Parade, Cook says exercise has helped her feel stronger, more energetic, and mentally clearer. Despite breaking her arm in 2003 and undergoing numerous procedures, including three elbow replacements, she never gave up on her goal of rebuilding her strength.

Cook’s journey started when she joined Planet Fitness in 2022, initially with a friend. She found herself drawn to the various workout classes, enjoying the challenge of routines like the 30-Minute Circuit.

As Parade shares, Cook committed to regular gym visits, and thanks to classes focused on cardio, strength, and core workouts, she’s seen impressive results in both her fitness and mental health.

One example she loves is the “PF360 Burn” class, where she combines elliptical work with battle ropes for a high-energy, full-body workout.

In her three-hour gym sessions, she focuses on exercises like curls, squats, and planks. Parade explains that these moves help her feel not only stronger but more flexible than she’s ever been.

She also joins other women in their 60s, 70s, and 80s, forming a support system that helps keep her motivated.

Every morning, before heading to the gym, Cook takes her dogs on a walk to stay active and enjoy a calm start to the day.

For anyone new to fitness, she encourages small, consistent steps and advises focusing on healthy routines instead of fixating on the scale, as Parade emphasizes.
