Actor Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, are going to split up after being married for 27 years, according to reports from the US media.
As per the celebrity magazine People, the Australian couple mentioned that they feel fortunate to have spent nearly thirty years together. They shared that their path is now changing, and they’ve chosen to go their separate ways to focus on their own personal growth.
Jackman and Furness met in 1995 while working on the TV show Correlli. Furness was already an established actress, while Jackman had just finished drama school. They got married in April 1996 and later adopted two children, who are now 23 and 18 years old.
According to the statement in People, the couple emphasized that their family has always been and will continue to be their top priority. They approach this new phase with thanks, love, and kindness. They kindly ask for privacy as they navigate through this change in their lives.
