A fake lawyer, Brian Mwenda Njagi, claimed to be a real advocate in Kenya. The Law Society of Kenya in Nairobi warned everyone that he’s not a genuine lawyer and not a member of their group. They want everyone to know this.
The Nairobi branch of LSK has asked people to tell the authorities if they know anything about Mwenda or anyone pretending to be a lawyer.
The LSK wants members to tell them if they know anyone pretending to be a lawyer,” the statement said.
Eric Theuri, who is the head of LSK, confirmed that Brian Mwenda Njagi is not a real lawyer. He said they asked the police to arrest him. “We’ve called the police to find and arrest this person for pretending,” Eric Theuri said.
Famous lawyer Omwanza Ombati pointed out that Brian Mwenda Njagi used a picture of himself on a profile that belonged to another lawyer with a similar name.
Ombati also worried about possible problems with private information on the LSK Portal.

In one video, he’s seen representing a big-name client, former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga, impressing many with his confidence and legal skills.
Some people online are comparing Brian Mwenda to a character from a TV show called ‘Suits’ – Mike Ross. Mike, played by Patrick J. Adams, can practice law without a law degree.
People are really surprised by Brian Mwenda’s supposed successes. Some say he’s won 26 court cases. LSK says they’ll look into these claims.
