Miss Utah USA 2023 Noelia Voigt was crowned Miss USA 2023.
The decision is made, and we have a fresh Miss USA for 2023! Noelia Voight from Utah is the winner. She not only got the crown but also the chance to represent the USA in the Miss Universe contest. It wasn’t just her looks that got her the title. Her thoughtful response to the question, ‘What will you do for Miss USA as its ambassador?’ was a key factor.
She said, “I think it’s really important for a Miss USA to be good at connecting with people. The USA is a super diverse country—one of the most diverse in the world. So, it’s crucial to connect with everyone. Being bilingual and having Venezuelan-American roots, I want to connect with that group of people. Because the USA is diverse, a Miss USA should represent every community, no matter where they come from or what they look like. I want to be that Miss USA.
Voigt beat out the rest of the Top 5 to capture the title.
First Runner-Up: Miss Hawaii USA, Savannah Gankiewicz
Second Runner-Up: Miss Wisconsin USA Alexis Loomans
Third Runner-Up: Miss Pennsylvania USA Jasmine Daniels
Fourth Runner-Up: Miss Texas USA Lluvia Alzate
Before becoming Miss USA, Voight shared on her Instagram: ‘I’m proud to be the first Venezuelan American woman to be Miss Utah USA. I’m excited to bring people together, especially the Spanish-speaking Hispanic community in Utah, using my ability to speak Spanish.
The 72nd Miss USA Contest came back to regular TV tonight. There were 51 women, one from each state and D.C., all competing to become the new Miss USA. The winner will represent the USA in the Miss Universe 2023 contest later this year.
The competition happened at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. The current Miss USA, Morgan Romano from North Carolina, was there to pass on her title to the new winner. Laylah Rose, who runs the Miss USA and Teen USA organizations, said they’re excited to give a fresh and forward-thinking twist to this 70-year-old tradition. They’re really looking forward to the moment when this year’s well-deserving winners are crowned.
