Calvin Robinson has become the third GB News presenter to be suspended in a matter of days after he shared his support for Dan Wootton online.
“Robinson, Fox, and Wootton are all connected to a TV channel. Robinson said he was taken off the air because the channel is afraid of criticism and certain people. Fox said disrespectful things about a reporter, Ava Evans, and he and Wootton were temporarily removed from the channel. Later, they said sorry.
Robinson mentioned he’d only go back on air if Wootton was there too. He believes his bosses are scared of a group that looks at what’s shown on TV. They’re also worried about people who care too much about their own success.
GB News, the channel, confirmed Robinson’s suspension for now while they look into it. Fox called his investigation a ‘show trial.’ This all started when Fox made rude comments about Evans during a talk on Wootton’s show.
Evans said she felt unsafe after what Fox said. Wootton said he was sorry. At first, Fox defended his words, saying he had the right to speak freely. But later, he apologized and thought he might lose his job.

“The head of GB News, Angelos Frangopoulos, said that Laurence Fox’s comments went too far and should have been challenged by Dan Wootton, the show host. They’re closely looking at how the show was made. Frangopoulos mentioned that neither Fox nor Wootton have been fired, but they hope to figure things out soon.
Many people, about 7,300, complained about what was said. The person in charge of the group that oversees broadcasts, Dame Melanie Dawes, thinks there might have been a rule broken because what was said might have been offensive.
They’re investigating because there’s a rule that says if something could be offensive, it needs to have a good reason for being shown. They’re also checking into other things GB News has done.
Before, GB News was found to have broken the rules three times. Once, they let politicians interview another politician, which wasn’t fair. Another time, they let someone say something very extreme about vaccines. Lastly, they said something about Covid vaccines that wasn’t true based on official data.
