Climate activists painted Berlin’s famous Brandenburg Gate orange and yellow to demand an end to fossil fuel use by 2030.

A group called the “Last Generation” in Germany painted the east side columns of Brandenburg Gate with orange spray paint from fire extinguishers on Sunday morning

The police prevented them from climbing the building and arrested all 14 protesters.

The Last Generation, part of the Europe-wide A22 network that includes Britain’s Just Stop Oil, has gained attention in Germany for organizing protests that block roads.
