Biden Vows to Stay in Race Despite Pressure to Quit

President Joe Biden reassured senior Democrats and campaign staff that he will continue his bid for re-election, despite mounting pressure to drop out after a poor debate performance against Donald Trump.

Biden, 81, insisted he is committed to the race during a call with Vice-President Kamala Harris and other Democratic leaders, saying, “I’m not leaving.”

This came amid growing concerns about his health and ability to win, as polls show Trump gaining a lead.

Some Democratic donors and lawmakers have called for Biden to step aside, with Vice-President Harris seen as a potential replacement.

The White House firmly denied reports that Biden is considering dropping out, emphasizing his dedication to defeating Trump in the upcoming election .
