A Kenyan man accused of posing as a lawyer without proper qualifications is now facing an arrest warrant after failing to appear in court.

The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has been closely following the case since last October when the man, known as “Brian Mwenda,” was exposed as an imposter.

Despite legal officials urging police action at the time, the man surrendered himself later.

He now faces charges including forgery and identity theft, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

This simplified explanation is based on reporting from the BBC.
