Israeli airstrikes near Aleppo, Syria, reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 36 people.

The strikes targeted weapons facilities used by Hezbollah, an Iran-backed militant group.

Israel has not officially commented on the attacks.

The strikes come amid heightened tensions in the region, with increased Israeli military action against groups allied with Iran.

Hezbollah has previously launched attacks on Israel from Lebanon.

The Syrian defense ministry mentioned additional casualties from drone attacks by “terrorist organizations” in Aleppo.
