About 10 people have died because a small plane crashed onto a road in the north of Kuala Lumpur. The plane was a private one and had six passengers and two pilots. It took off from Langkawi International Airport and was going to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport.

The authorities that take care of flying in Malaysia said that the first time the plane talked to the control tower was at 2:47 p.m. local time. The control tower said it was okay for the plane to land at 2:48 p.m. Then, at 2:51 p.m., people in the control tower saw smoke coming from where the crash happened. But the plane didn’t send any emergency messages before that.

A plane crashed into a car and a motorcycle, each with one person on board, as reported by the state newspaper Berita Harian. The head of Selangor Police, Hussein Omar Khan, mentioned that experts are gathering the remains and taking them to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang. This is for a post-mortem examination and identification process.

The Ministry of Transport will also conduct an investigation. Videos and pictures from Malaysian media displayed a burned part of the highway that was blocked off, with smoke in the air.
