Moderna, the company making the Covid vaccine, won’t build a factory in Kenya as planned.
They wanted to start making vaccine doses in Africa by 2023, but they haven’t got any orders from the continent since 2022.
Moderna says fewer people are asking for Covid vaccines now, so they’re changing their plans to save money.
Instead, they’re focusing on developing new vaccines for diseases like HIV, malaria, and cancer, which can bring in more money.
