Despite facing legal issues, his supporters are mobilizing for his candidacy. Girkin, also known as Strelkov, warns of internal and external threats, urging unity.

His campaign poster for the 2024 election is already circulating. Girkin gained attention for mocking Russian tactics in Ukraine and faces potential jail time. Russian authorities have tightened control on critics advocating a tougher stance in the war.
