Many people have died in Syria due to clashes between two groups. One group is supported by the United States and consists of Kurdish-led fighters. The other group is made up of Arab tribal fighters. The fighting began because the Kurdish-led group arrested the leader of the Arab tribal fighters in a province called Deir al-Zour. This led to violence spreading to other areas of Syria.

There are reports that 54 civilians have been killed, and important buildings like hospitals and water treatment facilities have been damaged. The United States, which has troops in the area to fight against the terrorist group ISIS, is asking both sides to stop fighting and find a peaceful solution.

In Syria, there are different groups controlling different areas. The Syrian government controls one part, and they accuse the Kurdish-led group of wanting to break away from the country. Rebel groups backed by Turkey control another part of the border with Syria.

The trouble started when the Kurdish-led group arrested a tribal leader named Ahmed al-Khubail, accusing him of crimes like drug trafficking and not stopping ISIS activities. This angered fellow tribal fighters, who then attacked the Kurdish-led group.

The United Nations is monitoring the situation and says most of the fighting is happening in certain towns. They are trying to stop the violence in one of the towns called Dhiban.

A group that watches human rights reported that at least 90 people have been killed, including civilians, Arab fighters, and members of the Kurdish-led group. Some reports say more than 100 people have died.

The violence has also affected other parts of Syria. In one area called Hassakeh, 23 Syrian soldiers and rebels supported by Turkey were killed. In another area called Manbij, five children died when their home was hit by a shell during similar clashes.
