Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that Israel’s airstrike in October damaged a part of Iran’s nuclear program and weakened its missile and defense systems. According to Netanyahu, this was not a secret, as he explained in parliament.

He mentioned that the attack specifically targeted an element of Iran’s nuclear activities, though he didn’t say which part. However, he clarified that the strike didn’t completely stop Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons. This information comes from Reuters.

The October 26 airstrikes involved three waves of attacks by Israeli fighter jets on Iranian military sites. This happened weeks after Iran launched about 200 ballistic missiles toward Israel.

As Reuters reported, this wasn’t the first time the two countries had exchanged direct attacks—there was a smaller Israeli strike in April.

Netanyahu shared more details about these operations, noting that the April strike destroyed one Russian-made S-300 missile defense system near Tehran.

The October attacks, as he explained, wiped out the remaining three S-300 systems and seriously disrupted Iran’s ability to make long-range missiles by targeting its solid-fuel production facilities.

This bold move shows Israel’s determination to limit Iran’s military power, as highlighted by Reuters.
