Boeing workers say they don’t want the company’s new 30% pay raise offer, according to their union. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) shared results from a survey, saying many members feel the offer is not enough .

Boeing made this new offer to striking workers earlier this week, which includes a 30% pay increase over four years, along with a performance bonus and a one-time $6,000 signing bonus.

However, the IAM claims that Boeing communicated this offer directly to workers and the media instead of going through union leaders. They also said the deadline for accepting the offer is too short for members to vote.

More than 30,000 Boeing workers have been on strike since September 13 after rejecting a previous 25% pay raise offer.

They want better pay, with the union originally asking for a 40% increase . This strike could cost Boeing a lot of money and adds to the company’s existing challenges, as they have already suspended many jobs .
