French President Macron has requested Gabriel Attal to continue serving as Prime Minister to ensure stability in the country.
Attal had previously announced his intention to resign after Macron’s centrist Ensemble party placed second to the left-wing New Popular Front (NFP) in recent elections.
At 34 years old, Attal made history earlier this year as France’s youngest prime minister.
