Shekinah Garner from “90 Day” shares details about her relationship with her Turkish boyfriend, Sarper Güven, and his finances. Despite online rumors suggesting Shekinah is with Sarper for his money, she says that’s not true.
Shekinah, 42, and Sarper, 44, put a lot of effort into their appearances, with Sarper even helping Shekinah with her makeup and suggesting a new haircut. This season on “90 Day: The Other Way,” Sarper is also involved in designing a new nose for Shekinah, which has raised eyebrows.
Shekinah clarifies that Sarper pays for everything when they are together, covering all her expenses during her visits to Turkey. She acknowledges that Sarper uses his savings to support her, but she trusts him to manage his finances.
Rumors about Shekinah dating older men for money, including her daughter’s father, Berto Matta, are false, she says. Shekinah explains that her past relationship was financially challenging and she had to rely on food stamps and bankruptcy at one point. Although Berto’s financial situation has improved, she has not benefited from it directly.
Shekinah is now trying to get a visa for Sarper to move to the U.S., but the process is difficult. In the meantime, she travels to Istanbul every five weeks to be with him.
