A fundraising page has been created to help Yahshua ‘YaYa’ Robinson’s family.
A 12-year-old boy named Yahshua “YaYa” Robinson died during his gym class at a middle school in California on August 29, 2023. His family thinks the extreme heat may have caused his death. In response to this tragedy, Yahshua’s aunt, Amarna Plummer, set up a GoFundMe page to help the family. The page describes how Yahshua was having a normal and enjoyable school day until he suddenly collapsed during his physical education class due to what they believe was the very hot weather.
Yahshua ‘YaYa’ Robinson was in his gym class at Canyon Lake Middle School in Lake Elsinore on a Tuesday when it was very hot, around 90 degrees. He asked the teacher for water and told other kids he couldn’t breathe. His aunt, Amarna Plummer, mentioned that he wasn’t dressed appropriately for the hot weather.
Emergency help came soon after he collapsed, but Yahshua ‘YaYa’ Robinson sadly passed away at a nearby hospital. The GoFundMe page for him mentions that he is survived by his parents, Janae and Eric Robinson, along with their three other children. They are all struggling to cope with this very sad situation. Because of this tragedy, Yahshua’s aunt, Amarna Plummer, and the Robinson family are requesting the community join together and provide financial help to ease the financial difficulties the family is facing.
Any amount, no matter how big or small, will show how much we treasure Yahshua’s memory and the positive influence he had in the short time he was here with us,” Plummer wrote. “We deeply appreciate your support for the Robinson family. You are their source of hope, demonstrating that love and kindness can endure even during times of great sadness.
